CSS Tutorial – 01 – Introduction

CSS tutorials

CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets and is a stylistic language used to define how web documents are presented. It complements HTML and gives much more control over the style of web pages. Furthermore, CSS makes it possible to separate a web site’s style from its content, making the site considerably easier to edit and maintain.

The videos are streamed directly from YouTube.com. See if you can view them there at our YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/ProgrammingVideos. If not you may be missing the Adobe Flash plug-in or you may need to clear your browser cache. If that doesn’t work try to view the page with another browser or another computer to locate the problem.

Hello. Great videos!!! I’m from Colombia, I’m interested in translating these into Spanish. Could that be possible?

Thank you for your kind offer. However, after careful consideration we’ve decided to keep this as an English only site for now. It would be too time consuming to maintain consistency between multiple translations of the tutorials whenever new ones are added or old ones are updated. We would rather focus our time and effort at producing more tutorials.

If you are interested in helping out you are more than welcome to join us in creating English text and video tutorials for the site.
